I love to have a vase of flowers on my kitchen table. It just makes me happy! I bought these flowers for about $10 and here is the hack I use to quickly make them look beautiful in a vase. This technique is inspired by the European hand-tied bouquet style and is designed to look great all the way around.
First, fill up your vase with water and some flower food. Next, lay out your flowers and remove any leaves from the stem that will be under water.

Now, here is the fun part. Hold 2 stems like an X so they cross at the bottom.

Add 1 stem at a time at an angle and turn the bouquet a quarter turn each time. Continue adding more stems until you have enough flowers to fill the vase. Alternate between blooms and fillers.

When you are satisfied with the amount of flowers, cut the stems across the bottom so they are all the same length. Make sure the stems are cut short enough so that they will not touch the bottom of the vase.

Add the flowers to your vase and voilà! Beautiful bouquet every time. I love how the stems look in the water using this technique.

Tips:
Change out the water daily. This small habit can make your flowers easily keep for 10-14 days!
Use flower food. I like to use a liquid version so I don't have to mix in the powder. Here is a great option:
Use a vase that makes you happy. Not all vases are created equal. Buy a vase that you lve instead of re-using a mediocre one you were gifted. Here is a great option:
